Don’t you hate going on an amazing trip only to return home with half-decent photos? This was the case for Leona and her family.
“There are so many great places we have been to and come back with only a hastily-taken selfie or even worse no photo of all of us together at all!” she says.
Sound familiar? Step in, Wanderloud.
“I surprise-organised a family photoshoot for our stay in Bali,” says Leona.
Her husband was less than enthusiastic, though. According to Leona he had visions of highly posed photos full of fake smiles and awkward poses. But he needn’t have worried.
“We wanted natural and un-posed photos,” explains Leona.
“It was great to be able to choose our photographer."
“It was great to be able to choose our photographer. This meant we could get the style we liked, and a photographer we felt confident would put us at ease,” she adds.
“The process before the photoshoot was easy and informative,” she adds.
“Everything was storyboarded and shared with us beforehand to make sure everyone knew what was happening, and what type of photos were expected.”
First stop, the beach!
“Our little one headed straight for the sea soaking herself and dad in the process,” Leona tells us.
I loved that our photographer just went with it and captured our true family style – chaos and all!”
“But what I loved about the shoot was that our photographer, Irezz, just went with it and captured our true family style – chaos and all!” she explains.
“I love how the character of our little one really shines through in these shots,” says Leona.
Now, how about a nice, natural portrait of everyone lined up on the side of the pool?
As soon as Leona’s daughter saw the water she tried to dive in, splashing everyone in the process.
Already drenched, Irezz suggested a family photo in the pool. When Leona asked how many of his photoshoots ended up in the pool she found out apparently they were his first!
“I don’t know about you but I think it was the perfect end to the photoshoot capturing our family personality,” says Leona.
"They are the best holiday photos we have.”
“We are so pleased with how the photos turned out, especially as I think our family character and dynamics are at the forefront. They are the best holiday photos we have.”
